The LEXI-MS® is a benchtop MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer optimized for microbial identification. Its hallmark “Dynamic Focusing” ion optics deliver high-resolution performance (3,000 FWHM) across the key microbial mass range (2,000–18,000 m/z) without the need for manual detector tuning. Coupled with an advanced discrete-dynode ETP detector, this system maintains consistent sensitivity even at higher m/z values. Routine MALDI-source maintenance is fully automated by the patented GreenClean procedure, eliminating operator intervention outside of scheduled preventive maintenance.


A dual-output DPSS Nd:YAG laser (355 nm UV at >42 µJ and 532 nm green at >10 µJ) operates from single-shot to 1,000 Hz with <5 % power drift over six hours and pulse‐to‐pulse stability below 2 % RMS. The instrument’s linear TOF design features a 50 cm flight tube allowing detection in both positive and negative ion modes and an extended mass range up to 100,000 m/z. With a warm‐up time under five minutes and compact footprint (82.2 cm H × 67.8 cm D × 48.8 cm W), it balances performance and space efficiency
